CubitNewGUI
A simplified workflow interface layered on the existing Cubit and CalculiX integration. Work proceeds from left to right through seven stages.
Developer preview — not a finished product. Internal GUI milestones extend through an R684 development branch. A current, externally deployable binary or reviewed public source snapshot has not yet been certified.
Seven workflow stages
- Import
- Prepare
- Mesh Setup
- Mesh
- Analysis
- Solve
- Results
Design principles
The fastest route is an automatic tetrahedral mesh workflow. Advanced partitioning or hex meshing is optional. A graphical ribbon and properties panel guide the user without replacing Cubit's native executable or the underlying CalculiX solver.
Development provenance
R1 verified the basic Qt ribbon, workflow dock and properties panels on AlmaLinux 9 with Coreform Cubit 2026.10. Later branches recorded solver/deck gates and post-processing experiments. A branch checkpoint is not the same as a verified public release.
Planned public materials
- Source snapshot and corresponding license notices
- English build, installation and user manuals
- Platform-specific tested packages and rollback instructions
- SHA-256 checksums and a reproducible version manifest
